MUSICIAN, COMPOSER AND MUSIC PRODUCER
Gonzalo Teran (Buenos Aires, Argentina, July of 1972) is a musician, composer, music producer and educator. His original musical influence dates back to his childhood where he learned from his parents and brothers. He studied piano and classical music in the National Conservatory of Music "Carlos Lopez Buchardo" in Buenos Aires and harmony with the masters Fernando Zaldivar (Berklee, Boston) and Gustavo Pires (Juliard School, NY).
However, his passion for music prompted him to learn other instruments, and at the age of 14 he discovered the guitar and he studied blues, jazz and latin genres with the master Eduardo De Posse. At the age of 17 he studied voice singing under the tuteledge of the great Italian master Gianfranco Lotti in addition to his brother Ramiro acting as a major influence. At the same time, he learned music production and arrangements with the great Maximo Pera Renauld from MPR Records.
At the age of 26 he moved to Miami, FL where he worked with United Stars, a production company with artists and performers like Jose Luis "El Puma" Rodriguez, Donato y Estefano and "El Buki" among others. He has shared the stage with great musicians, playing in concerts, festivals and TV shows in Miami.
In 2003, he started GT Music www.recordingstudiomiamigt.com, an independent recording studio company, working with different emerging artists and professionals from the Latin, European, and American markets. These projects included diverse genres; as well as live performances with different local bands, an instrumentalist at pubs, concerts, festivals and TV shows. At the same time, he's been teaching music since 2000 with private students and also teaching since 2009 at Center Tone Music School at Key Biscayne.
With more than 10 years of experience teaching music, Gonzalo believes musical education is part of a fundamental human learning process, both intellectually and spiritually.
